Registration is done via Fienta: https://fienta.com/fi/nuijasota
This year, registration for the Cudgel War is made through Fienta, which reduces the event stweards manual workload related to registrations. Payment is made directly through Fienta at the time of registration
The registration consists of three sections: tickets, contact information, and payment. It is possible to purchase tickets for several people at once. However, we do not recommend this, because only one person can fill in the contact information during a single purchase. We still need the details of every participant, and the person making the registration must submit them separately through an additional form after completing the purchase in Fienta. To avoid this double work, we encourage everyone who is able to register themselves.
The available payment methods are the most common bank cards, bank transfer, and invoice (sent to the provided email address, with a 7‑day payment period). Fienta is an Estonian platform, so before registering make sure that you are able to make a payment there. If you know in advance that this might be an issue, it’s best to choose the invoice option. A reservation is created once the payment step has begun. Fienta holds the reservation until the payment is completed (timeout approximately 20 minutes). If Fienta rejects the payment, the reservation will be cancelled.
This is an example registration for John Smith Doe. John is an adult, not a member of SKA/SCA, and he is participating in Cudgel War from Friday to Tuesday as part of a camp group. You can choose between English and Finnish from the symbol marked by the red arrow.
Note! The registration opening on 21st of April is password‑protected for event organizers only. The actual registration for all participants opens on 28th of April at 18:00 and does not require a password.
The registration consists of three sections: Tickets, Contact Information, and Payment. First one chooses the tickets (e.g., attendance days and meals) one needs. John is not an SKA/SCA member, so he must select the non‑member surcharge. At this part, transportation to/from Karjaa would also be selectable, but it is offered only to participants coming from outside Aarnimetsä. Children under 3 years old are also registered here. You do not need to specify their attendance days or meals separately.
Next, John must select the days days of attending from the category “14 years old and up” (because he is an adult). The attendance‑day options for children aged 4–13 follow immediately after this category.
John will definitely get hungry during Cudgel War, so he books some meals for himself. Fienta is set up so that only the meals corresponding to the selected attendance days and the correct age category are available. Tip! The Pirate Party is free for everyone, and food will be prepared according to the number of people present on Monday. So it doesn’t matter whether you select it here or not — you may participate in any case.
The last ticket option would be indoor accommodation, but John has decided to sleep in a tent, so he can leave these unselected. At the end of the first section, there is an option to enter a discount code, if one is available for any reason.
The second section, “Contacts”, is the actual registration form. The form asks for example, your contact details, medieval name, dietary restrictions, camp unit, and accommodation preferences (the image does not show all the questions).
Last thing to do is to choose the payment method. After a successful payment a confirmation email is sent to the provided email address.
